Davide Santon: “I have a good feeling about Spalletti”

Inter full-back Davide Santon, who came on as a substitute during the final minutes of tonight’s win against Sampdoria, stopped by InterTV to give his thoughts on the 3 points won:

“To enter the pitch when we are leading 3-1 and with Sampdoria putting the pressure on us is not optimal. We should have avoided the second goal, but it was a cross that had a trajectory that was difficult to read. There are a lot of things we can improve, but the three points are what counts tonight. For sure there was some tiredness involved in how we managed the final minutes of the game, do not forget that we had a tough game against Napoli three days ago where we spent a lot of energy, and maybe we are not used to playing every third day, but with the players that we have we should be able to control the ball better than we did.”

“Against Hellas Verona in the next match we have to play our game, like we always do, and bring home another three points. I should add that tonight we faced a Sampdoria that currently is in a fantastic period, therefore it was so important to win today. On a personal level I can add that I have a really good feeling about Spalletti and he always takes me into consideration when choosing his line-ups. I am giving everything I have in order to come back from my injury sustained during the pre-season preparations” Santon concluded.
