Focussing on just the top 5 European leagues, there are 14 goalkeepers who have kept 5 or more clean sheets so far this season. Surprisingly, in the top spot we find the Leganes goalkeeper, Ivan Cuellar. The revelation club of La Liga have managed to keep a clean sheet on no fewer than 7 times in their opening 9 games. in second place we find Manchester United’s David De Gea who also has 7 clean sheets from 9 games but with 4 goals conceded in comparison to just 3 conceeded by Cuellar. The podium is completed by Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Barcellona with 6 clean sheets from 9 games.

There are 3 goalkeepers from Serie A in the list: Alisson of Roma in 5th with 6 clean sheets from 9 games & 5 goals conceded, then the duo of Pepe Reina & Samir Handanovic occupy 11th place with 5 clean sheets from 10 games & only 7 goals conceded.
