72,000 seats sold for Torino. Crowds mean: average of 60,000

Reported by Gazzetta dello Sport, apparently over 70,000 spectators (last counted at 72,000 according to the latest estimates) will attend Inter-Torino on Sunday, at the Meazza Stadium for 12:30. An incredible figure that further increases the annual average.

The two main reasons that has persuaded so many people to go to the stadium, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport: the enthusiasm to see Spallletti’s band get another important result and the scheduled event to celebrate Inter Club.

“The last day dedicated to the Inter Club dates back to March 12th against Atalanta, when 59, 359 fans were treated with a 7-1 victory – reads Gazzetta dello Sport – curiously, the following round was against Torino (away) in which Pioli’s men were held to a 2-2 draw which was followed by a collapse in the Spring, but this now seems like an old story. As the average attendance shows, despite the poor run of form, Inter fans were still the most loyal. After the first six rounds (including a home game against Juventus) , tickets sold on average was 46, 685. All in spite of the team being towards the bottom of the table and having their fourth coach in three months: Mancini, De Boer, Vecchi and Pioli. Now the average will be around 60,000.”
