Having extended his stay with the Merazzurri through to June 3oth 2021, Italian international striker Eder spoke to the club’s official website Inter.it, sharing his thoughts and feelings on his newly rxtended contract with the Nerazzurri.

“For me this contract extension is an important token of appreciation from the company, but also the coach and my teammates. I have got to keep working because even though I have played less, I always try to give a contribution to the team. I feel at the same level of my teammates who  are playing right now and to stay at a club like Inter you have to prove your skills not only in the games but also in training every day. The contract extension is a source of pride for me and I am very proud to be able to continue with this club.”

The 30-year-old Italian international then spoke on his time in Nerazzurri so far and the ambitions he has: “I arrived here at a difficult moment but the beauty of football is that situations can change very quickly. This year we are proving our worth, Spalletti gave organization and enthusiasm. With desire and attitude, we can do big things. This year we must return Inter to the UEFA Champions League where it deserves to be, we must achieve this for ourselves and for the fans.”

He concluded by picking his favourite goal for Inter so far: “Either the one against Atalanta or Chievo Verona.”
