Inter’s Spanish midfielder Borja Valero stopped by InterTV to share his thoughts after the disappointing 1-1 draw at home in front of more than 71.000 spectators at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.
“We did what we always do, we believed until the end but we were held to the draw in part thanks to their goalkeeper as well as due to a little bit of bad luck. It is difficult to find space when you are being man marked, we had some trouble in the first half but we created a lot of chances to score despite this” Valero began.
The former Fiorentina midfielder then praised the fans who applauded the team despite the two dropped points stating that “Our fans saw that we gave everything to win this match, we were only lacking a little bit of luck in front of goal. Now we will train well during the internayional break to return to winning ways in our next match.”
