Former Inter and current Torino midfielder Joel Obi gave an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of the Serie A clash with his former side today at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, scheduled to start at 12.30 pm CET.

“It is time to show some continuity in the league starting from with game against Inter. We have to make amends for the bad times. The league is not over yet and we still have goals that can be achieved. European football is still attainable” the Nigerian international midfielder began.

What do you expect from Inter?

“We will play our game. We are tough and angry about our poor start.”

Are you an Interista?

“Ever since I was 9. I grew up with their shirt, but I will be happy if we win. Inter can start winning after Sunday.”

Can Inter challenge Juventus and Napoli for the Scudetto?

“They are having a great campaign. I hope they win the scudetto.”

There will be over 70,000 spectators at the Stadium….

“It is another reason for us to show that we can play and our fans will be there as well.”

Does it make a difference whether or not Belotti is on the pitch or not?

“He is an added value, his stats prove it but Andrea alone can’t be enough. We are all useful and there are qualities in other players as well.”

Which Inter coach do you remember the most today looking back?

“Rafa Benitez. He gave me my debut in the Serie A and the Champions League.”
