Inter striker and captain Mauro Icardi’s performance against Torino was viewed in bad light by most but Sky Sport’s Matteo Marani was upbeat about the 24-year-old’s performance during the Sunday lunchtime game that ended 1-1.
“In my opinion, Icardi is a very clever footballer, he always has the right time to play, he can always read the action as it develops.”
Icardi set-up Eder to tie Inter level, recording his first assist this term and Marani spoke on the assist also.
“For me, his assist for Eder was like him scoring his 12th of the season, he has the ability to figure out where the ball goes and his movements are always tense, even yesterday,” Marani concluded.
Icardi has missed just 16 minutes of Inter’s season so far and been critical to Inter challenging at the top of the table at this early stage where they in fact remain undefeated through 12 league games.
