Mauro Icardi and Inter have received good news regarding the Nerazzurri captains injury which he sustained during this past Sunday’s lunchtime Serie A fixture at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district against Torino which ended in a 1-1 draw in front of over 71,000 spectators.

However, the injury will keep Icardi from being able to play for the Argentinian national team during the upcoming international break according to several reports from Italy and Argentina.

Yesterdat morning the Argentinian striker underwent an examination which showed that he has suffered a strong contusion rather than a lesion around his right knee. This means that after 4-5 days of physiotherapy, Mauro Icardi will be at Luciano Spalletti’s disposal once again.

The Nerazzurri captain has been in lethal form this season for Inter, having scored 11 times in 12 matches in the Serie A already making it his best ever start to a season.
