Milan & Inter Interested In Besiktas Star

Calciomercato.com and WYSport interviewed Besiktas’ Sporting Director, Ali Naibi about Milan and Inter’s interest in their Turkish midfielder Oguzhan Özyakup, born in 1992, whse contract with the club is set to expire next summer.

Naibi had a few words to say on the interest stemming from both of the Milano based clubs confirming that “I know that both Milano clubs like him, but we have never received any official offers or request regarding him from them. For us, he is a very important player, he is our captain and we want him to stay with us in our aim to win the title. This is definitely a player followed by many big clubs so if an offer comes, we will evaluate it.”

Özyakup is 25 years old and is the captain of Turkish SüperLig side Besiktas. Since joining from Arsenal’s academy, he has won two Turkish Süper Lig titles and is looking to add a third before possible leaving Turkey. He has featured 30 times for the Turkish national team, only scoring once.
