Joao Mario-Pastore Swap Would Have To Be On Loan Basis Due To FFP For Inter & PSG

Rumours continue to circulate with regard to a swap deal involving Inter’s Joao Mario and Paris Saint Germain’s Javier Pastore.

Corriere dello Sport have examined the idea in more detail and believe that the swap deal would strictly be on the basis of a loan. Both players would swap destinations until the summer and both clubs would then meet again to discuss the future of each respective player. Alternatively, both clubs could agree redemption fees for the players which could then be exercised in the summer. Deciding on appropriate fees could prove difficult due to Joao Mario still having four years on his contract in comparison to Pastore’s two and Pastore having a higher wage.

Both Inter and PSG are limited by Financial Fair Play wish means even if the clubs would like a permanent swap in January, they simply can not do it due to the risk of facing further sanctioning from European football’s governing body UEFA.
