In an exclusive interview with Inter TV, Inter Primavera player Matteo Rover spoke about the season ahead at home and in Europe.
“So far we have done ok in the league, we are there or thereabouts in second place. In the Youth League we have also made a good start and had a good 4-1 win against Esbjerg. It is going to be a tough season playing a lot of games with the addition of European football this year. Obviously the first leg against Esbjerg will help us a lot but we cannot be complacent and think that this tie is already over. They will be more aggressive and up for the second leg. We must remain concentrated in order to win these games.”
He then returned to speak about the Primavera’s league campaign.
“It is a tight league at the moment but we expected a tough league campaign this year but not quite as it is with a lot of the usual mid table teams doing really well but it is definitely a tournament we can win this season. For me personally it is an important year. I am playing well at the moment and we are getting the results on the pitch.”
