Inter full back Davide Santon has spoken ahead of Inter trip to Cagliari’s Sardegna Arena this weekend.

“In Cagliari we have to go to win, we do not have to be satisfied [with how we do it],” the Italian told Premium Sport.

After a succession of injuries, Santon returned to first team action against Atalanta at the weekend and put in a credible performance as Inter ran out 2-0 winners with thanks to a brace from captain Mauro Icardi.

Inter remain undefeated through the first 13 Serie A games this season and find themselves second in the Serie A standings.

Santon continued by insisting Inter can not let their good start get the better of them mentally, “The feelings are positive, we have to work hard to improve, but we are on the right path. We are only at the beginning, but we are doing well, the results are visible and the confidence is high, but we must remain grounded.”
