Shortly after the impressive win away against Cagliari, Inter’s captain and matchwinner Mauro Icardi gave an interview to Premium Sport to share his thoughts on the three points won.
“It was a difficult game, we started off in the wrong way for a bit. After my goal they slowed down, and we were more determinant. That is why we got the victory. We do our thing, we think only about ourselves and the other teams have to realize that we never give up” Icardi began.
Then he moved on to the fact that Inter are top of the league saying: “Tonight we enjoy being at the top of the standings. If we look at Inter and how they have worked there has been a long-term project and now we are beginning to see the results we like.”
In conclusion Icardi was asked if he is at the peak of his career to which he replied: “I find myself at the right place at the right time and I am happy for my brace. The release clause in my contract? You know what I think, there is nothing else to say. It is all about the club.”
