Andrea Ranocchia Set To Play Against Chievo

Andrea Ranocchia, whose only five minutes of playing time this season in the Serie A came against Crotone, is almost certain of replacing the suspended Brazilian central defender, Joao Miranda, against Chievo Verona on Sunday afternoon at the Studio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district with kick-off time scheduled for 15.00 CET.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Italian central defender will face the team he scored both his first and latest serie A goal against. Ranocchia’s first goal against the ‘Flying Donkeys’ came in October 2009 while his latest goal in the Serie A was in December 2014.

Ranocchia has been working very hard and is ready to take his chance. The former Empoli coach Martusciello, has been the person working on the defensive line and there is a serious technical focus in that area and Inter are following it quite well.

Andrea Ranocchia spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City in England but was unable to save the club from relegation from the Premier League. He has been out of favour at Inter since he was stripped of the captain’s armband in 2015.
