Having completed over one hundred crosses which have gone from pointless to effective, Antonio Candreva is doing great work in the trio behind Icardi which has been the main goalscorer for Inter so far this season Corriere dello Sport report.
According to the report the stats reveal that six of the Rome-born wingers passes have directly contributed to a goal for Inter, five of which have come in the last eight games and he’s won a lot of points for Spalletti’s team this way.
These stats are all from this season after a summer where he declined the chance to play in the Premier League with Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, similarly to Ivan Perisic who had the opportunity to join Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
However, Candreva dreamt of turning Inter’s results around to make a name for himself in the best way possible. The performances of the former Lazio captain are being underlined by Corriere dello Sport, who write that the “numbers that are making his critics blush.”
In this Inter side, Candreva has made 98 successful crosses from 147 attempts including corners. This easily puts him in top spot, with Chievo’s Birsa being 45 successful crosses behind him. Also on the podium is Bologna’s Simeone Verdi.
Candreva is only missing goals but there is still a long season ahead.
