Yesterday, Matias Vecino started his personalised recovery program via a rehabilitation programe developed by the Inter medical staff to resolve the recent muscular problem strain he incurred during the Nerazzurri’s visit to Cagliari at the Sardegna Arena which forced Luciano Spalletti to substitute him early on in the second half.
The goal is to bring him back to training with the group on Friday or Saturday and then Spalletti will decide whether or not to call him up, considering the fact that the Derby d’Italia is the week after and he’ll need everyone at their peak.
However there is a chance that the Uruguayan midfielder will at least be on the bench on Sunday due to the emergency in midfield since Roberto Gagliardini is suspended who will also be back for Juventus – as Tuttosport reports today.
For now it is believed that Marcelo Brozovic will start next to Borja Valero in the deep role with Joao Mario resuming his place as the trequartista playing behind Mauro Icardi.
