Vecino Could Be In Inter Squad To Face Chievo

In today’s training session midfielder Matias Vecino took part with his teammates as he nears a full recovery from his injury sustained away to Cagliari.

It was looking likely that the Uruguayan would miss this weekend’s clash with Chievo Verona at San Siro but there is growing optimism that he could in fact make the squad following today’s participation in training Sky Sport have reported.

Yesterday he was on a personalised training regime in both the gym and on the field but took part in ball work with his teammates today.

The 26-year-old, who arrived at the club in the summer from Fiorentina, has played in 12 of Inter’s 14 Serie A games this season and scored and assisted once apiece. He has formed a formidable partnership with Roberto Gagliardini – who will definitely miss Sunday afternoon’s game through suspension – in the midfield and been one of the stars of Inter’s season so far.
