Former Inter President Moratti: “Icardi’s Release Clause Should Be Raised”

Former Inter owner and president Massimo Moratti shared his thoughts and feelings on Inter’s big win over Chievo Verona yesterday.

“It was a beautiful game played by great team, they have played really well,” Moratti told Premium Sport.

Moratti proceeded to discuss if Inter can realistically dream about scudetto glory come the end of the season.

“Inter always starts with the intention of winning the Scudetto, it seems to me that in this case there are the bases to build on and I think that it is possible.”

With the Derby D’Italia coming up next for Inter, Moratti also shared some thoughts on the game with rivals Juventus.

“It will be a great game, both teams are playing well, they have character and they have ambition and a beautiful game will be played as a result.”

The interview concluded with Moratti answering the question, “should Mauro Icardi’s release clause be raised?”

“I think so.”
