Pordenone’s Perilli: “It was A Great Game Against Inter”

Pordenone goalkeeper Simone Perilli shared his thoughts and feelings on Monday night’s encounter with Inter in the Coppa Italia.

“It was a great game,” the 22-year-old, who starred for the Neroverdi on one of their greatest ever nights at San Siro, told RadioSei.

Perilli pulled off a number of good saves and found himself saving two penalties in the shootout too, which he proceeded to discuss.

“I managed to save two penalties last night, if I had saved the penalty from Mauro Icardi I would have fainted at the time. It would have been like winning the Champions League for me.”

His performance no doubt raised an interest from some clubs higher up the Italian pyramid and the former Roma and Lazio youth team player spoke on the possibility of a return to the capital.

“My mother still works in Formello, it would be a dream to go back, but for now Lazio are in good hands.”
