Former Italian national team manager Cesare Prandelli spoke on the race for the Serie A title.

“We are lucky to have 4 teams that can fight until the end for the Scudetto. However, in order to maintain a high level of competitiveness it would be right to reduce the league to 16 teams,” he said to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Prandelli was then asked to share who he believes is the favourite to be crowned champions of Italy come the end of the season.

“I do not see one club being a clear favourite over the others, but I have a weakness for Maurizio Sarri and the great work that he is carrying out at Napoli.”

The current Al- Nasr manager then shared his thoughts on Italy missing out on the World Cup.

“What happened happened, so now we need to turn the page. I hope this serves as a catalyst for change, to put everything behind us.

“I would like calcio to be led by men like Damiamo Tommasi and Demetrio Albertini. It takes new faces, but with experience at the same time.”
