Gabigol’s Agent Denies Any Offers Have Arrived For The Inter Forward

Gabriel Barbosa’s agent Wagner Ribeiro has denied to Brazilian news outlet Interporte that any official offers or meetings have taken place amid a wealth of rumours concerning the Inter youngster’s future.

São Paulo, Cruzeiro, Flamengo and Santos have all shown a keen interest in bringing Gabigol, as he is otherwise known, back to his homeland as he has struggled to adapt to European football.

The 21-year-old arrived at Inter in the summer of 2016 in a €30 million deal from the aforementioned Santos but failed to nail down a starting berth under a host of different managers in his debut campaign at San Siro. He was shipped out on loan to Benfica in the summer, where it was hoped he would adapt and find the form that earned him the move, but it has not been the case.

Whether or not he will see his loan spell out with the Portuguese giants is unknown but Inter are believed to be entertaining proposals which would suggest he will not.
