Meeting Between Spalletti & Inter Director Steven Zhang

Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports that a meeting took place yesterday between Inter’s coach Luciano Spalletti and Steven Zhang Jr, a senior Director at the club, to discuss the current state of the team and plans for the January transfer market.

As has already been widely reported, in January Inter will only be able to invest on the market if they manage to sell some players, Corriere reports that: “There are no other ways about it, apart from loan deals. Probably, at this point, Spalletti would also like a public intervention made by the club, given that even he reiterated the self financing concept when he pointed out that Ausilio is not the owner and he does not know the investment possibilities Inter have. He stressed that only the owners know how much Inter can spend. The only possible selling opportunity seems to be Joao Mario. The most rumoured players to strenghten the squad are attacking midfielders Pastore and Mkhitaryan.”
