Thohir Optimistic That Inter Can Meet UCL Qualification Goal

Inter president Erick Thohir spoke with Goal.com’s Indonesian edition on the rumours that surfaced which said the Indonesian businessman told Suning his remaining shares in the Nerazzurri were available for the hefty fee of €200 million.

“My relationship with Suning is good. We have met several times in both China and Milan and everything is alright. The news is not true.”

Thohir, who has been involved with Inter since 2013 when he took over from Massimo Moratti, then spoke on the current performances of the team, who, up until the past weekend had been undefeated for 16 games.

“Luciano Spalletti is doing very well in charge, now we need to consolidate to achieve our goals. We are mid way through the season and Inter are in top positions. I am very optimistic that we can achieve our goal of finishing in the top four places and thus be in a Champions League qualification spot.”
