Inter striker and star man Mauro Icardi was one of a number of people connected with the club to speak at the club’s Christmas dinner last night.
“We are here unhappy with the result but we are celebrating Christmas together, to celebrate the journey we have made together so far,” the club captain told the media who attended the event.
Icardi, who has 17 goals in as many Serie A games this season and sits a top the Serie A scoring charts, then discussed the Nerazzurri’s next game against Sassuolo which comes this Saturday afternoon.
“Sassuolo have been playing well for a few years, we know that. It is always difficult against them because they have been playing together for several years and they will definitely play a good match.”
The 24-year-old Argentine concluded, “We will do everything we can to start the new year well and start again straight away.”
