Spalletti Insists His Inter Squad Have To Be Honoured For Their Achievements This Season

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke on the sidelines of Inter’s Christmas dinner party.

“We hope it will be a Christmas period without respite, with serenity, hugs and fun.”

He then proceeded to discuss what the Christmas period also has to be used for especially after Inter suffered their first defeat of the season at the weekend against Udinese.

“We also have to use it to stay close to the players, because they are not the ones who lost 3-1 but the ones who got 40 points from 17 games and we have to honour them.”

Spalletti then thanked the Interisti who have backed the team throughout the season so far.

“Often when I talk about my team I say that the fans are like a second team, they are behind us and wish us the best in every game. They applauded us even after the defeat and that can only make us stronger.”
