Brazilian side Santos are back in the race to sign Inter outcast Gabigol. Santos has a new president in Jose Carlos Peres and he has already employed a new team to accelerate the deal. According to UOL Esporte the new representatives have met the Brazilian striker’s agents to discuss a possible deal.

Meanwhile, fellow Brazilian club Sao Paulo is also interested in the 21-year-old. They are willing to make a loan offer where they will be paying 50% of his salary and the rest will be paid up by Inter. Sao Paulo are also trying to use the relationship between Gabigol and former manager Dorival Junior to wrap the deal up.

Cruzeiro are also interested and club official Itair Machado is also staying in touch with Gabigol’s father regarding the deal. The board previously had made it clear that they are willing to take up the player on a permanent basis.

I had a good conversation with Gabigol’s father. The fans must know the truth that Gabigol is interested in coming to Cruzeiro,” Machado said.

“I talked to his father and the deal depends on some financial details. We are trying to negotiate whether Inter will pay his maximum wages or we will.
