Grande Inter legend Luis Suarez drew comparisons between two of Inter’s finest strikers, Diego Milito and current striker Mauro Icardi.

“They are two great players, Milito has a great and long career in his favour, while we are waiting to see what the remainder of Icardi’s career brings. To play my kind of football, Icardi is the ideal striker.”

The Spaniard, who spent nine years with the Nerazzurri between 1961-1970, then revealed what he thinks it will take for Inter to fight for the scudetto ’til the end and perhaps even win it.

“If they sign someone in January they can fight for the Scudetto or otherwise be the champions.”

Suarez concluded by refusing to agree that Luciano Spalletti and Jose Mourinho were similar and chose a comparison of his own for the Inter manager.

“Spalletti could assimilate Helenio Herrera if only he spoke quicker. This Inter needs someone like him and Sandro Mazzola.”
