Inter are pushing to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan on loan with a redemption option according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Nerazzurri have raised an interest in the Armenian in the past week as the January mercato nears but Manchester United and the player himself would prefer a permanent move in January, thus putting a spanner in the works for Inter’s ambitions to sign the 28-year-old on loan due to their Financial Fair Play problems.
However, if Joao Mario or even Marcelo Brozovic is to be sold and raise funds, a permanent move could become an option for Inter but until the funds are there, big moves are not an option.
Mkhitaryan has struggled for regular play time this season and has been frozen out of Jose Mourinho’s squad for the past few months. The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder started the season in fine form and looked to be reaching the levels that earned him his big move but that period was short lived.
