Inter Sporting Director, Piero Ausilio, was interviewed by RAI Sport prior to yesterday’s Coppa Italia quarterfinal clash against AC Milan.

Ausilio was asked if the squad is good as it is replying that: “I always listen to Spalletti, and from what I have understood from him I know what we have to do. He and the club believes a lot in this team, and I am not just saying that. I am the Sporting Director and I have to make my decisions based on the fact that I believe in the players. Like any other team, also this team can improve. We will make moves during the transfwer window, because we do not think that a perfect team exists. But this team is strong.”

Pastore?

“I do not think there is any quastion about his qualities and ability. We need to understand what PSG wants to do. It is an important player and we like that he is considering Inter as his next team. Still though, it is premature to talk about anything reagarding Pastore.”

Do you want him?

“I know the stakes involved, so I have to work from that.”

Can you have a strong transfer window?

“Buying just for the sake of buying does not interest us. We have an objective together with the coach: to keep the group and to improve it where it is possible, with players all of them with different characterisstics. But our current financial status has to allow those players to come.”

Where do you think you will strengthen the team?

“I think that all departments of the team are complete, we have to think about each player. If there are any that we do not have today. But I think that Inter only can improve by bringing great players, and those kind of players only move in July. The other players are of a kind that wants more playing time and we have to be alert in seizing the moments when they arise.”
