Spalletti Seeks Solution for Psychological Fragility

Inter are currently reliving a recurring nightmare, just when everyone thought the trials and tribulations of recent campaigns had been put behind them.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Luciano Spalletti intends to solve the problem without resorting to shock therapy but expects an immediate reaction starting with tomorrow evening’s match against Lazio.

The Tuscan coach spoke to the group yesterday before training. He didn’t put blame on anyone’s shoulders, but discussed their current situation frankly.

The 58-year-old asked everyone to take responsibility and not to throw away five months of hard work. He looked to stimulate a reaction, and told his men not to expect any saviours to arrive during next month’s transfer window either; they must resolve the situation themselves.

Spalletti believes the problem is mainly a psychological one, given that the data provided on the players’ physical levels show them to be in top condition. They must react with a spirit of sacrifice and work harder than ever to rediscover their best form as quickly as possible.
