Italian media outlet Sky Sport Italia reports that Inter have decided to prioritize the signing of a winger who can act as a back-up to Croatian international Ivan Perisic.

According to the report Manchester United’s Armenian attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has dropped considerably down the list of prioritiez. The same applies to Paris Saint-Germain’s Argentinian playmaker Javier Pastore who remains a dream signing for the Nerazzurri according to Sky Sport Italia.

Instead, Sassuolo’s Italian 24 year old winger Matteo Politano is a name that could be of interest for the Nerazzurri as he suits the bill of young, Italian and winger who could act as a back-up for Ivan Perisic who has been out of form recently.

Politano’s contract with Sassuolo expires at the end of June 2022 and is valued at around €10 million and remains to be seen if he will be the player the Nerazzurri directors gift to Spalletti together with defender Alessandro Bastoni in order to help the tactician finish in the top 4 of the Serie A this season.
