Inter is currently looking for a winger that could take some pressure off of Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva. At the moment there are two Italian wingers that are on Inter’s mind, Simone Verdi of Bologna and Matteo Politano of Sassuolo, each with different situations.

Politano is very popular and would likely seize this chance to go to a top club. Napoli, who are also interested, can buy him immediately whereas for Inter the only option is a two-year loan deal with a mandatory redemption. Sassuolo does not at the moment seem open for a deal, but within the next couple of hours contacts will be made with the player’s agent in order to decide his future. A positive signal for Inter and Napoli is that the Neroverdi are already hunting for a replacement.

As for Verdi, for the moment, he does not want to leave, although there is no actual “no” to the teams that follow him. Napoli has already spoken with Verdi’s agent and will speak to Bologna explaining, also to the player himself, their intentions.
