Italian media outlet Sky Sport Italia report that Inter’s interest to sign Manchester United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore have hit a stumbling block due to problems that UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations impose on the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, Inter have decided to cool down their interest in the duo and instead, Sky Sport Italia reports, the Nerazzurri directors are trying to work on a deal to bring Sassuolo’s 24 year old winger Matteo Politano.

According to the report, Inter are preparing an 18 month loan offer with a forced option to buy at the end of the loan. Politano is reportedly positive to make the transfer from Sassuolo to the Nerazzurri.

However, Sky Sport reports that Inter will face stiff competition from Napoli who are also very interested in the Italian winger who signed for Sassuolo ahead of the 2015/2016 season and has so far scored 17 goals in 89 matches across all competitions for the Neroverdi.
