During his press conference prior to the quarter final match of the Coupe De La Ligue, Paris St. Germain manager Unai Emery was questioned about Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore who have both now returned to training following extended winter breaks.
Emery stated “They both need to work. The group is the most important thing. When the players are ready and available to my disposal, they will play. For now they need to work to recover and from there I will decide on their availability.”
Emery then refused to reveal any details of his conversation with Inter target Javier Pastore added “I will not disclose what was discussed, it is between myself and the player.”
With rumours swirling over a possible transfer away from Paris, Pastore has been a name heavily linked with Inter. Pastore would be a helpful addition to Luciano Spalletti’s side due to being a trequartista, something the Nerazzurri have been crying out for this season.
