Inter made their first enquiry for Fabian Ruiz around three weeks ago according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Inter management contacted the player and his representatives to make them aware of their interest in his services but are not the only club interested in the 21-year-old.

Should Radja Nainggolan depart Roma today, the Giallorossi will do everything in their power to immediately land Ruiz. Moreover, Napoli are also keen on signing the Spanish midfielder.

Ruiz currently has a €15 million release clause in his contract and talks with the Betis leadership are expected to take place in the coming week or so with regard to a contract extension. The Seville based club wish to massively increase his release clause and bump it up to €80 million however Ruiz does not want such a high clause. Ruiz is open to his release clause being increased but wants it increased to no more than €30 million. If Betis try and force their hand and even try and make it €50/60 million, Ruiz will simply refuse to sign a contract extension and his agent will begin discussing terms with other clubs.
