Inter are annoyed at Corriere della Sera after the publication of some quotes from Spalletti, in a conversation with a group of Roma fans after Inter’s 1-1 result against them at San Siro towards the end of January. The club have already clarified the situation with their Coach but they are still annoyed with the newspaper.

Gazzetta dello Sport state, “Inter is bound by FFP and are still suffering from a fragile mentality which resulted in similar collapses in the last two seasons, also after Christmas time. It is up to Spalletti to change the story”.

It would seem as if these players thrive under the depiction of being the underdogs and as soon as winning is mentioned, they begin to deteriorate. This mind set must be eradicated if Inter are to return to Europe’s Elite. We cannot know for sure what the cause of this was but perhaps it can still be fixed by Spalletti or the club may have to consider some sales, since changing Managers doesn’t seem to be working.
