Shakhtar Donestk midfielder Bernard has announced his intentions to depart the Ukranian club upon the expiry of his contract in the summer.
“It has been a five year cycle for me, with a turbulent start by virtue of the coach that was there before, then a new manager arrived and I had more chances and It started to go well after that,” he told Brazilian news outlet Esporte Interativo.
“There is still nothing certain or definitive. I will evaluate the proposals that will arrive, I will choose the one that will allow me to give the most continuity to my football. I have already clarified with Shakthar that I do not intend to remain in this club as I am aiming for bigger things.”
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with Inter and it is understood that Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio took in his performance last night as he faced Roma in the Champions League.
