Former Inter sporting director Marco Branca has tipped the Nerazzurri to make the Champions League in an interview with passionedelcalcio.it.
“They will certainly make the Champions League. They are among the teams that are fighting for this goal, and in the last outings the team has regained confidence in themselves.”
Lúcio, Diego Milito, Thiago Motta, Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto’o are just a handful of the transfers that he masterminded and Branca was ultimately a huge part of Inter success in the mid to late 2000s.
Branca, who was part of Inter’s transfer team for 12 years between 2002-2014, then was asked who he felt his best acquisition was during his time in that position.
“At the end of the day, winning is what counts and I was able to celebrate the triplete together with all the protagonists. I have carried out many transfer market operations and it is therefore difficult to draw up a ranking.”
