Walter Sabatini and Suning have reached a mutual agreement over an early termination of the technical coordinator’s contract. the Chinese Group have confirmed through way of a brief statement.
“Suning Sports and Sabatini have reached an agreement for the early termination of the contract that binds them, Sabatini will no longer hold the role of technical director of Suning Sports. The club wishes him success in his next work experience”
Rumours about a possible departure broke yesterday and Sabatini’s words last night mean that the news today does not come as too big of a surprise.
Sabatini joined the Suning Sports Group last summer and took control of the transfer market but it is understood that the former Roma sporting director was not happy with his lack of power and demanded more.
With Sabatini’s departure, it leaves sporting director Piero Ausilio solely in charge of Inter’s transfer business but reports in the media have suggested that former sporting director Marco Branca could return in some capacity to aid him.
