During an interview with Tutti Convocati on Radio 24, Il Sole 24 Ore journalist Marco Bellinazzo discussed Walter Sabatini’s decision to resign from his post as Suning Sports’ technical coordinator. Indeed, he believes that the Chinese corporation intend to take the club in a direction which is incompatible with Sabatini’s way of working, hence the divorce. Here is what he had to say:

“It is too early to say that Suning are looking to disengage from football altogether. They spent €500 million to buy Inter, and they are not going to get that money back if they withdraw now. They are aiming towards a different way of managing the club, taking sensible financial decisions without any risks involved. Perhaps Walter Sabatini is a risk taker and this led to some disagreements between them.”

Piero Ausilio is now back in full control of the Nerazzurri’s transfer business, and will work alongside assistant sporting director Dario Baccin.
