Following Walter Sabatini’s departure as technical coordinator for the Suning Group yesterday, Gabriele ‘Lele’ Oriali’s return to Inter could be back on the cards according to various reports circulating in the media today.
“Oriali is still linked to the national team [where he is the team manager] but the future changes that the FIGC will make with regard to the choice of the new national team coach could change things for him,” Tuttosport details.
The Turin based newspaper then recalled last year where Oriali very nearly returned to the club who he spent 13 years with as a player between 1970-1983.
“Just under a year ago, Gabriele Oriali was a step away from Inter. He had met sporting director Piero Ausilio several times and discussed with him the future role of being the supervisor of the first team at Pinetina. Then the Suning revolution happened and with the arrival of Walter Sabatini, the return failed.”
