Former Inter midfielder Francesco Moriero revealed what he feels every player who plays for Inter must have and offered some words of encouragement to present day Inter in an interview with Luca Carmignani.
“Players who want to wear the Beneamata jersey must have character. Playing at San Siro is not for everyone. My Inter was full of players with character. We went into the field singing, in the true sense of the word, we felt sure of our strength and the whistles – if any – did not intimidate us, so to the Inter players of today I say: have courage, be brave and believe in yourself.”
Moriero then spoke on how he looked at games as a player and what his ultimate goal is.
“When I went on the pitch, I forgot about the opponent, it could be Maldini or Lizarazu [I was up against] but for me it was indifferent. I played my football, and then if the opponent beat me, I congratulated him.”
“My dream and my goal is to manage a Serie A team.”
