Well known Italian football agent Sabatino Durante has admitted to not being surprised by Walter Sabatini’s departure from the Suning Group last week.
“I was expecting it,” Durante told TuttoMercatoWeb. “Sabatini was not able to influence everything he wanted to. The Chinese were not happy with what he had proposed either. The choices that Sabatini had made in China did not give the desired effect. It is not even his fault, maybe the team did not have the bases to compete in the first place. I know that the owners were not particularly happy especially as Sabatini was more often in Milan than in China. Maybe the Chinese expected that he would have had more of an impact in China.”
The respected Sabatini’s departure last week ultimately came completely out of the blue to supporters. Sabatini’s departure succeeded Fabio Capello’s from Jiangsu Suning and was soon followed by ‘right hand man’ Frederic Massara.
