Hector Cuper: “I Didn’t Win Anything But I’m Proud Of What I Did At Inter”

Former Inter manager Hector Cuper reflected on his two-year spell in charge of Inter in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I did not win anything, but I am proud of what I did. I changed the mentality after some complicated seasons, then with Roberto Mancini and Jose Mourinho Inter won everything, probably thanks to our base. Of course, I would have liked to win something, but I am still satisfied.”

“I was sacked after a 2-2 draw with Brescia but I hold no grudge against Massimo Moratti. The President is a great person, the relationship between us has always been excellent.”

Cuper proceeded to discuss the Inter of today and was full of praise for Luciano Spalletti.

“Many things have changed, today it is another club, but they can get to the Champions League, and there is Luciano Spalletti too. He is a guarantee and the right man for Inter.

“Luciano likes work in tranquillity but sometimes he lacks patience and demands everything. Spalletti is the ideal coach for this project, we must continue with him.”
