In January, Rafinha proved to be the alternative to Javier Pastore but in the summer roles will be reversed according to Tuttosport.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is working on redeeming the Brazilian midfielder at a discounted price and could offer Barcelona a first option on one or some of Inter’s players if ever they were to decide to sell them to a seal the deal.
If Ausilio can not turn Rafinha’s stay in Milano in to a permanent one, he will direct his attention toward the Argentine.
The Turin based newspaper add that it will be difficult for Inter to redeem Joao Cancelo from Valencia. The Portuguese full back has a €35 million redemption fee but due to ongoing financial fair play problems, it will be nigh on impossible for Inter to redeem both Rafinha and Cancelo without making a major sale.
Moreover, Ausilio is understood to have enquired about the availability of Sime Vrsaljko which would appear to suggest Inter are planning for life without Cancelo.
