After the final whistle, Premium Sport interviewed Inter’s Italian full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio about his thoughts on the derby della Madonnina which ended in a 0-0 draw.
The former Torino full-back beggan by saying that: “I think we deserved more than a draw, Icardi had two easy chances but it’s normal to make mistakes in football. He will surely bring us back to the Champions alongside the rest of the team. Even throughout the most difficult moments we worked humbly, continuing on this path will ensure we reach our objectives.”
D’Ambrosio was then asked if Milan are out of the Champions League race to which he replied: “Honestly, I don’t really care to speak about other teams. Our race is with ourselves, the sooner we finish in the top four and the sooner we will take what we deserve. Inter is close to achieving that goal despite the result which is something I see in our performances.”
