Inter’s next three Serie A matches – all of which are away from home – against AC Milan, Torino and Atalanta will be crucial in their pursuit of UEFA Champions League qualification.

As pointed out by a report in Corriere della Sera, the Nerazzurri are a much more mature side now than they were earlier on this season when they were too reliant on Ivan Perišić and Mauro Icardi to deliver the goods.

Players such as João Cancelo and Rafinha have since stepped up to the plate and have helped the side to become much more balanced in terms of its quality and tactical discipline.

Of course, the team’s recent upturn in form is largely thanks to Perišić’s return to form and the fact Icardi has scored six goals in his last two games. However, a lot of credit must also go to Marcelo Brozović, who looks like a completely different player since Luciano Spalletti moved him into a deeper midfield role.
