For the fourth straight game, Marcelo Brozovic has earned rave reviews for his performance in his new role just in front of the defence in the midfield two.
In fact, Gazzetta dello Sport have went as far as comparing Inter’s Croatian midfielder with Real Madrid and Germany international Toni Kroos, who is widely regarded as the best in the role in the world.
Brozovic now has over a century of appearances for the Nerazzurri but until now never really looked settled anywhere and always struggled to cement his place in the starting line-up for a prolonged period.
In the summer and even as recent as the January transfer window, Brozovic was considered a player that could be done without but now he is undoubtedly up there with the players who are deemed indispensable based on his current form.
In 24 appearances this term, the 25-year-old has scored three goals and tallied five assists.
