Turin-based tabloid Tuttosport reports in today’s newspaper edition that the Nerazzurri and Italian international winger Antonio Candreva have begun talks to extend the former Lazio winger’s contract.
According to the report, these talks have been ongoing for weeks with the player’s representatives. Despite the fact that Inter are actively looking to strenghten the squad with player’s who play in that role, Tuttosport argues that this does not necessarily mean that the player will leave the club.
It is reported furthermore that Inter have postponed all talks of contract offers to after the season but will try to conclude all of these matters before the end of the fiscal year on June 30th at which point the transfer window reopens. According to the report “Candreva could extend his contract with Inter by one year to enf od June 2021 but also increase his wages which currently stand at €3 million net per season.”
