The countdown to Atalanta-Inter has begun and Gazzetta dello Sport have taken an early look at the current state of the Atalanta team heading in to Saturday night’s game in Bergamo at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
Gian Piero Gasperini will have to do without Andrea Petagna after the striker picked up a yellow card as the weekend which in turn meant he triggered an automatic one game suspension for himself. The Milan based newspaper speculate that Andreas Cornelius or Musa Barrow could replace Petagna up top on the night.
Gasperini will also be missing some other big players in Mattia Caldara, Leonardo Spinnazzola and Josip Illicic all of whom are to miss the match through injury.
The news will come as a welcome boost to Inter who will be facing a weakened Atalanta side who are missing two of their best defenders and two of their best attackers at the same time.
